Still reading @pluralistic 's Chokepoint Capitalism. I'm at the section discussing RSS and podcasts and it's reinforcing my decision to move my podcast listening to #AntennaPod and to lean into #RSS generally (as my recent posts about the demise of #Omnivore and the search for feed readers and read-it-later apps shows).

In light of the recent #Omnivore acquisition, I recently published a brief overview of the various #selfhosted bookmark and read later apps that can easily replace popular hosted services. As usual, they're all fantastic and should be considered based on individual preferences and needs!

readeck.org/en/ also looks interesting if you're coming from #Omnivore.

I tested a whole bunch of #Omnivore alternatives yesterday and Raindrop.io was indeed my favorite of the bunch, though the #Logseq plugin seems a little iffy.

Right now I'm thinking I'll just pick something to tide me over until someone hopefully picks up that Omnivore code and runs with it.

For those of you looking for an #Omnivore alternative, I recommend Raindrop.io. Or, if you don't mind self hosting, Hoarder and Linkwarden are both very good.
