The birds and bees are loving our blooming rhododendrons. The huge one next to our house produces a constant hum and was was home to not one but two bird nests this year. Bees and hummingbirds will dive bomb us if we get too close.
This rhody is about twenty feet from the 25' behemoth rhody and less hazardous to approach.
Yesterday I raked and raked to get the sticky blossoms off the grass. Poor Summer gets them stuck to her feet and belly. She has to patiently allow me to pick it all off before she can come inside.
It looks like more raking needs to happen today.
