Fediverse hive mind: Anyone know of a tutorial for how to write a program to show the night sky? (I'm pretty sure there's a name for this, but I'm drawing a blank) And bonus, how one would plot the positions of planets, moons, etc if it was a fantasy night sky and not ours? #astronomy #programming #worldbuilding #simulation

I might be wrong but I think that's generally called planetarium software. You thinking of something like Stellarium?
