1. I claimed space for my laptop that's cheerful, underused, quiet. It's next to my sister & BIL's room but after waking all the energy transfers to the kitchen, den, computer desk, & garage on the other side of the house.
2. I wrote & composed & reused material reflecting on my current theme of cultural differencesβ€”in this case an outsider trying to understand the existence of complacent insiders.
3. I moved to a warmer bedroom.

Living in someone else's home for an unspecified time, I feel guided by unknowns. Tonight when it seemed the homeowners were foregoing dinner I slipped out for fast food. That's ok, it was an outing. Now I've taken a middle of night shower, why not? I'm far from any ears. Why? Because it's cold & I've been avoiding getting my hair wet. No better time than when I can ensure that I remain bundled in warmth. I'm finishing my audiobook. I wonder when I'll finally sleep or wake up. Late late late.

2 posts up I shared the desk where I've installed my laptop. Unlike most, my laptop is best stationary. It will not work unless plugged in. So I like to find a spot & leave it there. By choosing the desk I did I have also created a schedule. I won't be using it when the adjoining bedroom is occupied & only when it's sunny and warm. That's ok, an experiment: no longer an anytime & everything machine; perhaps now just a keyboard for writing sessions. Could be a good system.

I'm reducing my intake of pain medication in preparation for trying a new one. Argh.

In such times I want, in place of pain relief, ice cream and pizza and anything delicious to take my mind off pain. Sigh. I also want to be in Mexico. Someday again soon, I hope. I don't have big hopes for the new medication but others seem to, so at this point that's why I'm doing it.

More later. I'm still cold & sweating at the same time. I swear I'm not sick. Just sick of winter. And pain. And
