A little color in the Golstream Valley sky tonight!

Bright purple and green aurora borealis fills the night sky over the Goldstream Valley near Fairbanks, Alaska. Two narrow green curtains streak upward from lower left toward the upper right, surrounded by a broad diffuse purple and magenta glow covering most of the sky. Black spruce trees are silhouetted in a ring around the frame, with snow-covered ground in the foreground. A faint crescent moon or planet is visible low on the horizon between the trees, with a faint glow of distant lights below it. Stars are visible in the darker portions of the sky.
