I will start installing Mastodon v4.6.0 on Masto.host.
There will be about 30 seconds of downtime during the upgrade.

It’s not that important, but my “Custom CSS” doesn’t work anymore.
It’s standard light/dark mode.

Regarding the newsletter feature, for now, there will be no charge. I will let people use it and see how it goes. If it gets too crazy in terms of the number of emails sent, then I might need to create an add-on for that. But for now, I don't mind if there is a medium increase in the SMTP volume included in the plans.

I'd love to come back to your service (especially with the new newsletter feature), but it seems that sportsbots.xyz is blocked? I couldn't get updates from any of the bots after I changed domains. So sadly, I left.
Hopefully, we can work this out. I miss having my own server.

I don't have any block for any instances or IPs. So, I don't think there should be a problem with my infrastructure. Looking at some sportsbots.xyz account on Mastodon.social (not on Masto.host), I also don't see recent posts. Not sure if the problem is some incompatibility or a problem with sportsbots.xyz, but from my end, I don't see a reason why it shouldn't work if everything else is federating correctly.

in reply to Masto.host • • •I'm on the mas.to server and the bots work fine here. When I had my janerationx.social server with you, they worked. When I switched domains to janerationx.me, I stopped getting posts. Couldn't figure out why.

But even now, if you want to send me a link to a recent post from one of the bots, ideally a bot that posts frequently, I can do some testing on my end.

This might be a @Mastodon issue and not a Mastohost issue (or a me issue?), but I'm not allowed to add accounts from other servers to collections. I've tried it on mastodon.social too, and I'm not able to add accounts from my server to collections there either.
The accounts I'm testing have opted in to discovery.

A thing I noticed: first time, when I'm searching for the start of an account (for example @ahaldorsen) I'm not allowed to add it. But it works after writing the server (for example @ahaldorsen).

Regarding the other issue, likely some weird issue. Maybe it's a code case to look for and report on github.com/mastodon/mastodon/i… if you want to dive into that.
