Gotta love when people complain about getting banned/silenced from instances they don't own...

PSA: Fedi is not your free speech platform. Nobody owes you a platform to spout whatever the fuck you want. Matter of fact, any admin/moderator on Fedi can ban/silence you for whatever damn reason they please.

When you make your own instance and pay for it yourself, then you can have your own platform, but that won't stop other admins from yeeting you out of their instance...🙄

The more I interact with the denizens of Twitter, the more I want to make Mastodon work for me instead, given I have been called a fascist, a communist, a paedophile, along with several words that I really don't think are conducive to a good discussion. What is the most widely used and actively maintained tool to feed #RSS into #Mastodon accounts?

I currently use @mastofeed which is really great when it works, but if it doesn't it is somewhat of a black box, so I would prefer to self-host something simple that can create similar toots.

Doing some seasonal organizing of my internet browsing, and I'm going all-in on the #IndieWeb. I'm here for the wikis, the self-hosted blogs, the decentralized, chaotic social networks. I believe that's the future of quality information on the internet.

Is there any way to bulk-edit my home timeline in #mastodon ?

For example, mute multiple people at once, or look at all the hashtags I follow?

I often find my home timeline overwhelming, but curating it feels really tedious...

Learnings: the post, including image, turned up at most of the intended services. That includes #Akkoma, #Mastodon, #Misskey, #Sharkey, #Hubzilla, #Tumblr and #BlueSky, all within minutes from posting it.

It is notable that it didn't show up, at all, on #Pixelfed.
