One of the things the Field Museum (Chicago, US) displayed from its collection in 1898 was a "Moon Model."
Prepared by Johann Schmidt of Germany, it was made of 116 sections of plaster on a framework of wood and metal.
With a 19.2-foot diameter, it was one of the largest and most elaborate representations of the Moon at the time. It was displayed until the 1980s.
