Portland, Oregon, adopted it in 2025, and its new city council is already more diverse by gender, race and neighborhood representation.

in reply to The Conversation U.S. • • •A better idea than proportional representation (which won't happen without a constitutional amendment) is ranked choice voting as in Australia. Ranked choice is apparently constitutional.
