@jcsamuelson The alt-left would be the extremist elements of the left, those violent or disruptive to anti-free speech views or similar veins of extremes.

As for Biden, calling a senile episode, something has regularly, a "gaffe" is a bit reductionist IMO.

Can you share an example of this from the mainstream media for Biden, Obama, or Clinton?

I know I could fill pages from just Trump and Bush.

Iassume by "the main stream media" you include the right-aligned media, which being 50% of the population is certainly mainstream. You really dont think any of the right-leaning mainstream media has ever made fun of those three presidents... really?

Call me simple, but to me a β€œgaffe” is really nothing more than what Merriam-Webster says it is – i.e., a social or diplomatic blunder or noticeable mistake. Biden’s flub in that video certainly falls into that category. I just choose not to take it farther than that.

Fair, it is a gaffe caused by his senility and due to it being a repeated pattern makes his senility hard to deny. But sure, its a gaffe in that sense.

As for alt left, I understand that it’s aimed generically at the far (or extremist) left. I simply wondered if you had something more meaningful in mind. I personally don’t find it helpful because it can be slapped on any leftist who happens to rub someone the wrong way.

Agreed, just like the term alt-left.
