I said here a couple days ago that the question wasn't why Trump staffers assaulted a staffer at Arlington Cemetery who got in their way. It was why the people who assaulted that staffer weren't arrested.

Well, now we know. The staffer in question -- who is a woman, because of course Trump's goons would assault a woman -- declined to press charges, out of fear of further harassment. And the Army, which manages Arlington, decided it was easier to hang her out to dry than it would be to stand up for one of their own people.

I don't blame the staffer. But the Army's decision is pathetic.

if the army won't stand up against violence, what's the point of them?
