EDIT: Going to try https://www.ganttproject.biz

Any recommendations for #OpenSource project management software that is simply an application on my computer? I don’t need nor want something in “the cloud”. I just need something small for myself.

Here is a list of Project Management solutions. All open source.

It’s old skool (MS Project equivalent), but perhaps OpenProject? https://www.openproject.org

I have used GitLab, which essentially is a git server, but with bug tracking and and continuous integration features

Taskwarrior may be too "basic" for project management. It's more like a personal to-do list with tags and stuff like that.

But is very lean, fast and doesn't require any internet at all.

Not recommended at all if you need a team of people to access the data.

Ah, thank you so much for asking for the thing I'd not yet defined for myself. I shall also try this.

maybe Trac? It's been a while since I used it, but it did not suck. Had nice wiki/bug/version integration over a dozen years ago.
