Almost two-thirds are in favour of replacing American technology with European solutions. The biggest obstacle is the enormous sums that American companies spend on lobbying. I recently heard it said that ‘the market has spoken’ – which is why everyone uses Microsoft and Google.

That doesn’t exactly sound very much like progressive politics. It suggests we believe the market should take care of everything in our societies. 1/2
