in #nyc, the vast majority of #GenZ are of South Asian and MENA ascendancy, followed by the rest of Asia, Latine, diaspora Blacks, African Americans and the sundry euro-americans called white.
GenZ is USA’s first MINORITY MAJORITY.
collectively, it’s a majority LATINE of originario (native) & african ancestries; but in nyc it skews ASIAN & AFRICAN.
Mamdani represents that shift: he’s diaspora Indian born in Africa’s Uganda.
GenZ is a diaspora well acquainted with necropolitics & genocide
