Edit: 3 was the winner. mastodon.social/@pixelfed/1137…

We're preparing our app for release on the App Store, help us decide which design to use for the app previews.

Comment 1, 2, 3 or 4 please!

Thanks for your feedback!

We are going with option 3, with a few tweaks.

We may reuse 1,2 or 4 for our Google Play Store listing.

1

Reasoning:
1 is fun and lighthearted; I like that.
2 is a good color scheme, but a bit boring. Also pretty close to Instagram.
3 reeks of corporate social media.
4 feels a bit too dramatic; not a bad idea, but does it fit Pixelfed?

Number 3.
In any case, please another dish with more visible vegetables and green healthy-looking stuff.

Any of options 1 and 4, are different than what I was used to seeing.

All options are nice but options 2 and 3 look like Instagram and X respectively and I hate those platforms 😅

I really like #4. But #2 is giving me serious Google Play store vibes.

#2

Though the colors should change each slide. Not orange, orange, purple.

Something more like orange, purple, green, or whatever

As a graphic design major, flip a coin on 1 or 2 and ditch the other ones. In terms of info 2 gives the most to users on what to expect, the colors feel Pixelfed, & it's symmetrical. On the other hand 1 is more visually interesting but it gives less info on what the app is like.

number 3 by a mile. It isn't even close for me. Ones with dark background are offputting because it isn't as visually attractive at first glance

2 is the best in color balance.

Definitely not 1. That's just weird.
