#InclusiveAccess involves automatically billing students for textbooks, even if the course has no textbooks ("Equitable Access"). This doesn't really always save money for students, plus the college gets kickbacks: https://pirg.org/massachusetts/edfund/media-center/new-report-automatic-textbook-billing-limited-choice-uncertain-savings/
The Dept. of #Education is proposing to change it from opt-out to opt-in next year https://sparcopen.org/our-work/2024-u-s-department-of-education-negotiated-rulemaking/
but what surprised me is that two #CommunityCollege associations & Educause argued against the change https://www2.ed.gov/policy/highered/reg/hearulemaking/2023/memo-regarding-cash-management-books-and-supplies-submitted-by-lorgan-dobson-cioce.pdf #OER #HigherEd #EdTech
