"...#Putin propaganda here, and heโ€™s been clinging to it since the beginning of the war: that he had to go into #Ukraine, #NATO is surrounding him, and that NATO support and #USA support for Ukraine just proves itโ€™s the #West versus #Russia; itโ€™s NATO versus Russia; itโ€™s the US versus Russia. And itโ€™s all a bunch of horse-hockey. Thereโ€™s nothing to it. This is Russiaโ€™s war of aggression against Ukraine, pure and simple..."

in reply to Ben Royce ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Don't Boo: Vote

every country has grievances with other countries

none of it justifies mass murdering #ethnofascist #imperialism, which is what #russia is doing in #ukraine

anyone who doesn't understand that is a troll or devoid of simple moral reasoning skills

"but the #USA invaded Iraq"

and that was fucking stupid

if your position is "the USA did something stupid therefore we forgive Russia for doing something stupid" i don't know what to tell you, but right and wrong is obviously not your concern

@mcpinson @msbellows Despots when cornered can be dangerous, illogical, and unpredictable. Iโ€™m worried that if things go south enough for Russia a mushroom cloud or two might appear in Ukraine. Donโ€™t want to speculate consequences beyond that. ๐Ÿ˜ณ
in reply to Huntn00

@Huntn00 @mcpinson On the bright side, a nuclear winter would buy us at least 10 years more to address global warming AND profoundly reduce both industrial output and the human population in general, reducing demand for carbon fuels.
