Taken in Yukon Canada in 2024 during a birthday trip North to enjoy the Northern winter. A dense hillside of snow-laden black spruce trees fills the frame, their dark forms dusted in white and receding up the slope into a band of low cloud that cuts diagonally across the upper portion of the image. Taller foreground trees with heavily snow-covered branches stand out against the uniform texture of the frosted forest behind, with a deep snow-covered valley floor visible along the bottom edge.
