The US-Israeli Attack Was to Prevent Peace Not Advance It On February 27, the US-Iran nuclear mediator had achieved an unprecedented breakthrough: The Iranians had agreed not to accumulate enriched uranium. Agreement was in reach, said the mediator, that "Iran will never, ever have a nuclear material that will create a bomb." However, Trump was still claiming that the Iranians were refusing such a deal. It happened that neither the US nor Israel welcomed such a capitulation. A peaceful resolution would disrupt US long-term plans to consolidate & weaponize its control over Middle Eastern oil. Meanwhile, the Iranian leadership was to meet to ratify the agreement. It seems Israeli intelligence suggested to the US that the leadership meeting presented the opportunity to "decapitate the leading decision makers all together"...
