I love this picture, and I REALLY love the alt-text description. But my guess is that this artwork isn't from a prisoner, and instead was added after the prison was abandoned. It looks like this drawing was made after the wall started peeling (there's paint on the gray strip), and hopefully the prison wasn't totally falling apart while it was in use.

could be but I'm doubtful. This was not open to the public in any way and there was a lot of other prisoner art - also it being in poor repair while open would not surprise me a bit
