How does holodiscover update messages as soon as the OP takes actions? It makes me think that keeping a long history will make the service more and more unfeasible to host
@Etch9 It simply speaks ActivityPub, so when a Delete or Update activity is received, the service updates or removes what it has in the DB. This changes nothing about privacy, even with millions of messages. The DB handles that load just fine, but you then need a server sized for it. That is the whole point of the poll. A dedicated server, or a time based retention, only to save storage space.
