#Fedilab 3.43.0-beta-1 has been published in the dev channel. This release now targets Android 16, which is why I'm releasing it as a beta first.

I have stopped using the app, coz of one reason. Until that's solved, I couldn't use the app 😭.
When there's some notifications, it goes to read just coz I navigated to the tab. So hard.
So please either mark as read only when I explicitly click a button or mark give each notification a mark as read button.

To no avail. 🤷♂️
(Sound & video selection works as expected.)
It is not part of the changelog, so maybe Android16 / GrapheneOS / SAF is missing something, which has become mandatory?
I'm no a programmer and can't fill in a proper report, but this totally ruins my "workflow"...
(Chrome-browsers also have this issue, but Firefox works around it in some way.)

Default ("Photos") shows chronological only, changing view to "Albums" shows only the cam role and "Downloads.

Yes, I have this picker for quite some time now. Nothing changed for me with the update. I see my folders when I select `collections` and then `from this device`.

This is how it worked until recently - and how it works for audio...
Oh, video is now broken for me, too. 🤔
Anyway, this is Fennec:
1. Upload => Still cam / video cam / *file*
2. File => picker *with* three-dot-menu
3. three-dot-menu allows browsing
4. Folders can be selected, which the other steps are unable to "see"

Bei mir kann ich oben auf `Alben` gehen und dann auf `auf dem Gerät`. Dort findet sich meine Ordnerstruktur wieder.
Ich weiß nicht, ob der Picker wegen der Herstellung der Kompatibilität für Android 16 bei dir gewechselt ist. Bei mir war er schon vorher da.
Ein möglicher Workaround wäre, die Bilder im Dateiexplorer auszuwählen und mit Fedilab zu teilen. Dann öffnet sich ein Entwurf mit den Bildern als Anhang. 🤔

Ich bin leider überfragt. Ich weiß, was du meinst: Der Picker ist beim Sound ein anderer als bei Fotos und Videos. Für mich ist das schon eine Weile so, daher vermute ich, dass es ein gewolltes Android-Verhalten ist.
Ich nehme die Frage mal für Tom mit zu Codeberg.

Normale Web-Suchen (und der Mistral-Chatbot) zeigen in Richtung Storage Access Framework und Intent, aber da kann ich als User nichts dran machen.

Tom ist wirklich schnell. Du kannst mit 3.43.0 jetzt den Picker auf den Dateiexplorer umstellen. Ich denke er gibt das Release bald frei.

Hatte nach dem Update natürlich erst keine Änderung bemerkt - aber nachdem ich die neue Einstellung umgeschaltet habe, läuft es wie geplant. 👍
