RE: mastodon.social/@HolosSocial/1…

#Holos 1.0.0 is available! With this release, Holos moves from release candidate to production. Your phone becomes your server. With custom domain support, your identity can truly be yours, independent from any platform. Your DMs are end-to-end encrypted. Your data stays yours. This is the core principle behind Holos, and the goal is to make all of this accessible to everyone.

None of this would have been possible without the people who followed along and tested from the very beginning. Your feedback, bug reports, and patience shaped this project at every step. I'm genuinely happy and proud of what we built together. This project took time, a lot of it, but it was built with passion. Thank you. (2/4)

Taking on challenges like #E2EE direct messages or making your identity independent from any server was a priority for me. Not depending on any external API means all the cards are in our hands to respond to what people need, without compromise. Behind the scenes, the work between the app and the relay is tightly coupled. A lot of relay improvements, especially around Bloom filter performance, are not always reflected in changelogs.(3/4)

I want this project to go further while remaining accessible to everyone. Running your own server on your phone, owning your identity, controlling your data should not be reserved for tech-savvy people. Missing features will be built with the community. I have always listened, and that will not change. I do not set aside other projects either, they remain just as important. This is just the beginning. (4/4)

Well done! Your commitment to making a better internet for all of us is greatly appreciated. Fuck the corporate world network and power to the free and open one!
