"JetBlue flight reports striking drone while landing at JFK" by ABC🇺🇸 News - JetBlue plane arriving at JFK reported hitting a drone just above the windscreen at 3000ft altitude. The collision was over Lower New York Bay a mile from nearest land. No damage found on the aircraft after landing. FAA will investigate whether it was actually a drone, and if so, who was flying it above 400' AGL beyond visual line of sight away from land. abcnews.com/US/jetblue-flight-… #aviation #travel #avgeek

Both the FAA and JetBlue said inspections found no evidence of a strike.

if crashing with drones results in no damage, should we stop worrying about it? or get help for pilots seeing things? or investigate whatever deviation from standard operating procedures the pilots blamed on this (cought)"drone crash"(/cough).
