Seems to me like the US right now *needs* “activist judges”…. the kind who will recognize, name and call to account the profound distain the regime shows for the courts. Issue contempt of court rulings and jail government lawyers who refuses to amend their ways. If they claim they are acting under orders, then find out who is issuing the orders, subpoena them, and them charge them with contempt of court. See how far up the chain they can get…

But do keep in mind that the judicial branch has (by design) limited ability to pursue people for contempt of court.

The courts are doing fine. I'd say reporting on what the courts are doing is lacking, though, since their calling out misbehavior gets far too little coverage, so the general public doesn't know what's happening in the courts, as public as they are.
