Anyone used "NoMachine" before for remote desktop? How secure is it? I've been using "RealVNC" (and it's worked well for us so far), but my university doesn't like the existence of a cloud (even just as a passthru) and they are balking at approving my renewal of it.

(Yes, my university software purchasing has gone insane. That's a rant for another time.) Here, I'm just asking colleagues for advice.
