For #ThickTrunkTuesday I wanted to share this picture of this old and twisted #LiveOak Tree I saw yesterday at the Audubon Zoo in #NewOrleans #Louisiana. In spite of its gnarly appearance, this tree is well cared for, and even has a lightning arrestor system installed on it that grounds it to the earth using metal wires.
