The last few years I often think I should get into #politics

But then I remember that I don't have patience for bullshit, no connections, no capital and no idea where to start

But still, there is an urge!

Kinda funny, as kid I was sure I would become a farmer

"What could he do? Should have been a politician..."
I strongly support you getting involved in politics.

I thought about getting involved...even reached out to some locals to see how to do so.

Then I started thinking about it and realized that the BEST case scenario for spending large sums of money and all of my time interacting with people that I don't know and don't like, the BEST outcome is that I get elected to do a job that I'm not qualified to do.

@roknrol Same I guess 🤔

I love problem solving but i feel many in politics are there to create them instead

in reply to stux⚡️

That's exactly it. I'm a good problem solver, but that assumes that I'm given appropriate information and I'm not actively being sabotaged by my own "team".

Also, the problems that you're expected to solve are *people* problems, and my solution for those problems generally involves a gigantic trebuchet and the sun.

Find local public servants to support!

(Servant, not politician)

I plan on getting elected uncontested to a local office nobody thinks they care about and using it to be an unprecedented pain in the ass

Well we just elected a plumber in the UK I don't see a problem with you standing for office

Please don't start a new party, we definitely don't need that. :p And you don't need capital to get involved in your local party (there must be some left wing party where you live, right??).
