@n_dimension Makes perfect sense, so many antisemitic Jews out there these days, opposing settler colonialism, ethnic cleansing, apartheid, and genocide like some sort of filthy goyim. It’s just not kosher.
What honestly surprised me was the sudden onset of antisemitism coming from tolerant left' and modern liberal circles. It's something that even caused right-wing commentators to do a double take, masked in that same sort of preformative language used to subversively marginalise neurodivergent individuals for not fitting in or closely adhering to political correctness.
@Saorsa @n_dimension Yeah, that tolerant left clearly can’t tolerate a bit of settler colonialism, ethnic cleansing, apartheid and genocide. Not very tolerant, if you ask me. A little genocide never killed anyone.
As memory serves, the Nazi party weren't the only ones to engage in a little genocide. The topic of Israel aside, I simply found the response to the conflict itself to be somewhat jarring.
It's really crazy how these fascist theocrats fear monger about "antisemitism" to try and bully Jewish people and their allies out of opposing Nazi freaks
It is coming to a point where every single Jewish person of political consciousness is being forced to confront the monster that is modern Israel. It has become unavoidable that Ben Gvir and his ilk have formed a new tendency of Judeo Nazism unlike any seen since the days of the Stern Gang
@burnoutqueen In October 2023, I was in DC for the first three weeks of this war, having originally gone there for unrelated reasons.
Quite a few of the antiwar protests I was at were almost half Jewish, with very little airspace between Jewish-initiated and Palestinian-initiated chants. Some were Jewish-organized from start to finish, notably a civil disobedience effort to block road access to the White House. It took about a week for the shock to wear off and people to get moving, then it was action almost every day.
Capper of all of this was an very elderly Holocaust survivor at one of the bigger protests, invoking "never again" against Israel's genocidal intentions which had already been declared.
@LukefromDC It's not a war in any meaningful sense, any moreso than the Nazis were "fighting a war" against the Resistance fighters of Warsaw by burning the entire place to the ground
