I've made a point of going everywhere in the archaeology of the mid-to-late 1st millennium elite, ticking boxes, trying to become an unavoidable scholar. I've excavated a mead hall, a boat grave, a great barrow. I've written about gold bracteates, gold foil figures, jewellery and weaponry. I've metal detected famous sites. And today my big animal art paper came out. I'm confident that this will be cited like crazy moving forward.
