This is a direct quote from Trump as he campaigns.

He literally says that children from outside the US are "taking disease" to other children in schools.

This was reported as an aside in this AP article.

The racism and the xenophobia are off the charts, and our media has normalized it to the point to where it doesn't even get more than a passing nod.

This level of hate from Republicans is weird and destructive.

"racism and the xenophobia"

These are accusations that the State uses.

Why are you repeating State propaganda?

Every tribe likes to dwell alone.

Republicans can't govern

They campaign on division and hate

The #racism and #xenophobia of #DonaldTheDeplorable is in fact “off the charts”. Never mind the #fact that #measles are being spread in the #UnitedStates by #unvaccinated children of morons in the #MAGA cult. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/health/measles-cases-are-rising-in-the-u-s-heres-why-misinformation-about-the-vaccine-persists-today

#USpol #VoteBlueNoMatterWho to #SaveAmerica from the #MAGAcult of hate and ignorance. #Floriduh

AP has become one of the worst "normalization" offenders.

I considered AP a basic staple news source in my life for >50yrs...

Now, I've flushed them.

liberals have been saying this since 2016 and it doesn't appear to be having much effect ?

so yeah, we all need to vent, but what is it we can do that is actually productive ?

Uh, thirty odd years of teaching children of immigrants and kids who themselves ARE immigrants. Their moms won't send them to school unless they and their clothes are immaculate. Not one hair out of place.
And newcomer kids often have a few months delay between arriving in the US and starting school. One reason: their vaccination record stayed back home. They had to get all their vaccines a second time. Not a first or a never.
