No one seems to make the connection to 90s heroin chic skinny also being back in style.
Smoking is self medicating for hungry people.
(No, I do not have an equivalent theory about the huge wide leg pants. They're just cool.)

I was shocked to learn that very few of her peers drink... so binge drinking is basically non-existent... but almost all of them smoke or vape. What in the world?!?
I made sure to tell my child that smoking is bad for you... so even at 4 years of age, she'd be encouraging parents of her peers to "stop smoking" - I'm so proud and I hope things stay on this course in 12-15 years
