Mexico City food thread
1. Taquería Selene
This spot was highly recommended by several local friends for having excellent Mexico City style al pastor tacos
We had a range of different things, decided the al pastor was the best. We plan to be back for more but next time we’ll just do as the locals do and order ‘feed me 30 minutes of al pastor..’

3. Polvillo zolque (a beverage made of cacao and masa), also at Yerba Santa
Utterly delicious
I’m just a fan of every hot beverage in this country including all the atoles and champurrado

4. This place is excellence.
Mariscos el dude: incredible scallop tostadas
Everything on the menu is great
With a dollop of habanero chocolate hot sauce (that still manages to be spicier than all the hot sauce in the U.S.)
And salsa macha

6. Mexico City is a huge foodie city with good international food. I’ve already spotted several good Chinese and Korean places.
We had some wonderful salads, pizza and roast chicken at Mama Ricotta
They even had an excellent non-alcoholic Moscow mule
