Nobody I know has ***ever*** gotten any Windows audio software to run acceptably on Linux using Wine or any packaging of Wine. Your realistic options are

a) Find supported Linux software that does the same job, or
b) Pay the man, get a Windows license and run the software native on hardware.

The license is something like $200US (Windows Pro - Windows Home is almost as expensive and is missing useful capabilities). That's peanuts compared to the time you will waste trying to make Wine do something nobody has put significant effort into making Wine do already. Which is, essentially, only some games.

@AlgoCompSynth I cannot recognize this statement. Plenty of audio software runs through Wine, though not all.

In this case I would presume the problem is not related to the software, but letting the software getting access to the hardware through USB.

I don’t know if this Line6 thread is relatable in terms of sharing USB: linuxmusicians.com/viewtopic.p…

@AlgoCompSynth I have no problem running all the audio software I've installed through Wine.

Specifically iZotope RX, Toontrack EZDrummer and EZMix. Everything else has a Linux build available, so I haven't needed to install a Windows version.

@elsemusic The only Windows audio software I've been able to even install with Wine is the Arturia software manager, which is just a license validation / download / install utility. The actual synthesizers - Pigments especially - either don't run at all, run slowly, or run with crappy graphics.

Pigments is an outstanding synthesizer but there's nothing it can do that can't be done by the open source Surge XT synth. 1/2

@elsemusic Bitwig Studio, Renoise and Reaper all have native Linux ports and I think some of them will even run on a Raspberry Pi. People who charge money for music production software that only runs on Windows and MacOS are behind the curve. 2/2
