Here's the thing about the fash: They think collaboration is something you only (pretend to) do if you're not strong enough to dominate. They don't think they need anyone.
That's why they can't be trusted, ever - but it's also why, like in @pluralistic's "Masque of the Red Death", they eventually starve / shit themselves to death locked inside their sad little basement clutching a rifle, while everyone else work together to build better lives.
