Electric! Weirdly, my first thought was of the album artwork of the CCR album Bayou Country. That, and some legs with stockings. ๐Ÿค”

@blankfrank Ah! Well that one is probably done with the same technique so not so strange I guess. Ha ha, bark-stockings instead of fishnet ones?

@andre That's a great interpretation and I see what you mean. Thanks a lot Andre ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ–ค

The image doesnโ€™t say โ€˜look at the stump,โ€™ it says โ€˜look at what the stump resembles.โ€™ The enlargement works like a lens for emotions: the close-up doesnโ€™t bring sharpness, it brings tension. What feels bodily gets stretched across time and space. I donโ€™t see the wound, I see its echo. I donโ€™t see the body, I see its trace. The distortion isnโ€™t an escape from truth... itโ€™s a way to see it differently

You could say that the photo โ€˜Violatedโ€™ doesnโ€™t just show loss, it splits it apart. Visually, emotionally, symbolically. And thatโ€™s exactly why it feels so unsettling and dark. As with your work in general, the photo really makes you think.โ€
