I think you did a really solid job. I only got two small suggestions: in "The Golden Hour" there is quite a characteristic light spot on the rocks in front (between the shrubs on the left and the dark rocks on right), which actually connects the sun, the shore of the lake and the reflection of the sun in the lake together. I think you could mark that spot with your light color that you use for the sky and reflection. Next post…

The portrait study is well done, but I think the shadow/side of the nose could be marked with a dark color. The nostril and the corner of the eye are actually so dark they could be black. Those are my two nitpicks, but otherwise, well done! I hope this exercise was useful :)

@BenjaminBrinckmann Thank you very much for these insights. Yes this exercise was really helpful. I noticed how unintuitive it can be for me to assume the correct values for an object. And you're of course right with your suggestions, I should've paid more attention to these areas.
