It's hard these days to find a unifying description, or know about all the people and communities involved in #deltachat #chatmail #webxdc developments. One shared sentiment probably is wanting to develop anti-authoritarian technologies and cultures around it, and being opposed to authoritarian tech policy moves in the West, chat control, age verification, prescribing Google/Apple control, enforcing digital app use etc

It's also a reason we are only posting on the fediverse bridged to bsky.

if you are interested you can also check on eurosky (who try to reimplement the whole bluesky stack, right now you can have your account on their PDS and access the server app via mu.social (also EU based).

not perfect but allow european to use bluesky based info without leaving EU server.

I personally use it and default on mastodon if a person i want to follow is on both.

to be honest that bsky bridging is happening quite unattended. We don't login there and interact only from here. Publically, we are interacting fediverse only, and then support forum and development repositories.

Bluesky has issues though...

"...As of 10 December 2025, Bluesky will introduce age assurance checks for users in Australia. This is in response to the Australian Government's social media age restrictions.

New users will be asked to complete an age check through Kids Web Services (KWS)External link.

Australian users under 16 will not be able to create a new Bluesky account. Australian users aged 16 and 17 will still be able to use Bluesky, but adult content will be inaccessible, and features like direct messaging will be disabled. Australian users aged 18 and over will have full access to Bluesky..."
