As the Switch 2 is substantially bigger than the Switch, perhaps that opens up a clearer niche for a Switch 2 Lite?

The original Switch Lite didn't feel like it had as much reason to exist, its size was very similar and it couldn't connect to a big screen, it was only really a way of getting a cheaper Switch

But alongside the Switch 2, it would make total sense to also offer something a lot smaller... maybe a clamshell that actually fits in your pocket?

#Nintendo charging for the #Switch2 Welcome Tour “game” & for the next gen updates to games you’ve already bought seems outrageously grabby even for the way the gaming industry is these days.

Makes the fact that they haven’t announced the price for the console even more ominous.
I don’t feel any need to replace my Switch (& can’t afford it to, although the release date is very close to my birthday) but I suspect if I had been planning to upgrade, my purse would have been in for a nasty shock

Nintendo is going to show off mouse controls on Switch 2 with a game about wheelchair sport! 👏 The two mouse controllers operate each wheel independently.
