The Republican holdouts, Sens John Cornyn (TX) & Thom Tillis of (NC), had vowed that they would not confirm #ToddBlanche for the role unless he provided written assurances that the #DOJ had formally killed a planned $1.8B #SlushFund to pay #Trump allies who claim they were unfairly persecuted by the government.

The senators also insisted that Blanche narrow the scope of the sweeping #immunity from #IRS scrutiny granted to Trump, his family & their businesses under the same agreement.
