My I.T. guy pronounces it "ETH-er-net" not "EEth-er-net" and "cun-FLOO-ence" not "CON-flu-ence" and "al-SAY-shun" not "at-LASS-ian" and it makes me wonder why we don't ask I.T. candidates to pronounce those words during their interview.
