So let me tell you about a game that isn't owned by a soulless corporation.
I've been leafing through Eco Mofos' adventures and I'm happy to report my initial impression is 100% confirmed: this game fucking slays!
A 'weirdhope' post-apocalypse setting with tons of weird stuff to see and do and build upon. Yes, the world is broken, but we can try to fix it.
It's a Mark of the Odd game, aka means the ultimate distillation of old school mechanics (IMO at least!), tense and non intrusive. Your character starts with a basic concept like Freak or Fighter but soon becomes unique as they collect weird items and strange powers.
It also means EM is compatible with a galaxy of games you can borrow from. Mail Order Apocalypse fits the bill perfectly, or Monolith for harder SF, or cowboys from We Deal in Lead, and why not throw a spooky dark forest in there with a couple of Cairn adventures?
But even if Eco Mofos is the only Odd game you own, it's more than enough to start your group of punks on their quest for t

My only minor gripe is, despite how beautiful and streamlined the book is, a couple of rules took me a minute to grok. (But it was the same with Into the Odd back in the day, so maybe my brain isn't great with pared down mechanical elegance :)
