The #Venleitche #ttrpg uses sliding-scale Balances instead of fixed stats. Player actions may Push their Balances one direction or the other, sometimes to their benefit, sometimes not. Connections replace damage counters and hit points, tracking the character's links to their physical body, to the world's magic, and to the social fabric of their community. Actions may Spend or Burn Connection points, which must be restored to keep the player character functional. Together with Blowback, which brings home consequences of dire actions, these mechanics prevent the murderhobo. Try it, and your character becomes a monster stat block. Adventure in a world where the focus is on troubleshooting and repair.

Both books are released CC-NC-SA and free/pwyw. I'm more invested in getting these ideas in front of people than making a profit from them.
