📣 If You Can Help Them, Don’t Hurt Them
I’m on my way to volunteer at the New England Center and Home for Veterans here in Boston.
➡️ It’s a reminder that when we see someone who may be experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, or active addiction, we’re seeing a human being. They could be a veteran, someone’s father, mother, son, daughter, grandparent, or loved one — someone who belongs to somebody.
I’ve been homeless before. The only reason I was able to rebuild my life was because people believed in me and gave me hope.
➡️ If you’d like to support the NECHV, they always welcome volunteers, donations, and community engagement at nechv.org.
🗣️ At the end of the day, we have more in common than not. If you can help someone, don’t hurt them.
