The main set of images of Mercury as seen by ESA & JAXA's #BepiColombo mission last night during its fourth & closest flyby yet have now been published.

They're available to download on ESA's website, but they've been enlarged to add logos & captions, making them too big to post on Mastodon πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

So here they all in two toots as a preview, resized to the original 1024x1024 pixels, for you to enjoy.

Happy to have worked on them πŸ™‚πŸ‘

Here you go, folks – the first image from last night's Mercury flyby by BepiColombo, ESA & JAXA's mission to our innermost planet.

The south pole is near the top of the image, right at the terminator between night & day, where there a some craters that never see sunlight & may even hold ice.

This is just a first teaser image – we'll be publishing some very exciting images from the closest part of the flyby later on today πŸ™‚πŸ‘
