As my friend said: -“I’m happy I’m a senior dev. Junior and middle-weights are going to be wiped out.”
From my experience (i.e 20+ years of managing programmers/coders) you have to be a junior dev to become a middle-weight to become a senior developer. No idea how that career chain is to remain if all the young talent is being nigh on forced out.
And what happens when the seniors retire and there’s no one in line to step up, but AI’s still can’t do the thing?
