Starting my afternoon #teaching shift of #piano and #flute lessons. I am acutely aware of the dual nature of my job. It is both frivolous and necessary.

I can’t fix the world, but I can carve out a tiny bit of escape for the kids who come to learn and make music. I can help empower future humans with creativity, discipline, and kindness. I can be an empathetic learning guide for my neuro-spicy kiddos.

I am grateful every day that get to do this job. Plus, rainbow markers!!
