TLDR:; During WW2, a French girl and an American GI fell in love. They were separated and went their own ways. In their 80s, they found one another again, and she moved to the US to marry her wartime love. So sweet, right?
He later dies, and then his son, who is a cop, forwards all the mail so she can’t get official documents, reports her to #ICE, where they do him a favor and drag an 86 year old woman into the cold in her nightgown in the dark of morning, shackle and handcuff her, and throw her in prison, where she’s been for weeks.
French government was finally able to secure her release.
