Beloit Glacier, in Blackstone Bay, Prince William Sound south of Whittier, Alaska, September 20, 2024. The rock ridge in the picture center left, separating two lobes of ice, has only become visible in the past few years. A photo from summer 2011 (link below) illustrates how much the glacier has thinned since then. It's still a tidewater glacier but that's unlikely to last too many more years.
