@pluralistic and rubella is waiting in the wings. I’m old enough to remember the children born to mothers exposed to rubella aka German measles, back in the 60s. Not pretty.

@sellathechemist @pluralistic Definitely not pretty. And it's not only deaths. Those illnesses can have severe consequences. My mother went deaf from a measle infection in her childhood and probably had some brain damage, too. Polio is a nice one too. I know someone who catched polio as a child and she is severely disabled. But I am convinced that those measurements are cruel by design. For what purpose? Idk.
